Isn't she wonderful! But right, where would she go? I'd have her peeking out from amongst the plants on the terrace perhaps?

Actually, I think she looks kind of scary...I thought at first she was eating a pretzel. I'll happily browse the store, but the head is all yours!

a kiss on the hand might be quite continental but pretzels are a girl's best friend. i'm with bibi, this marilyn seems to have a pretzel obsession.

Love the cracked lacquer.

Actually it does look like a pretzel but it's a piece of a rusted planter or something as best I recall.

J'ai l'impression que Marilyn va chanter! Je suis sûre qu'un collectionneur va acheter cette statue!

Maybe turn her into a planter or cookie jar? I also thought she was nibblng a pretzel ..

Loved the store, but I missed Marilyn. I found some great postcards to add to my collection though.

I'll never understand the undying popularity of Marilyn, but I like how you caught all the shine.

I'm glad you like it, but I think I'd pass. I remember too well Marilyn in the flesh!

What was the cost?

Anon,
I have no idea!

Actually, it creeps me out. This is to sexy starlets as Chucky is to puppets.

HA!!! I didn't know I'd "creep " some of you out. I"m laughing at that. I just loved the light on her and the crackle finish. It's always fun to see the perspective you all have.

Although it's well shot, I have to go with creepy. The "Chucky" reference is very funny, Bob.

What a fantastic shot this is! I don't find it creepy I really think it's pretty cool but you definitely need a very special place in your house, or a very special house, to display it.

Having read this after reading your next day's blog on "Welcome to Birmingham", I thought the light spots looked a lot like "glistening"...you know, that's southern for sweating like a pig!!!
