Retirement Home Bingo!

Today one of my former photography students, Shelly Shook, has graciously offered to be my guest photographer. Shelly took this great shot while watching her mom and friends play a "cutthroat" game of Bingo! Everyone in the class agreed that this was one of Shelly's best photographs.

Today I am pleased to be a guest photographer as well. Richard Nahem asked me to be his guest on his Eye Prefer Paris blog. Have a look!

I will be offering another series of "From Snapshots to Photographs" , a five week photography course for amateur photographers, beginning September 13th from
6-8 pm. Contact me for more information.

That looks like fun. I have a grandma who plays at her retirement complex. They win things like pot holders and cookbooks.

I used to have a pet, and Bingo was his name.

Well done, Shelly! And thanks for the memory jolt .. my mom and her pals played bingo every so often it was more of a socializing evening than a cut throat one ..

I think Bingo is one of the most mindless games ever invented. :)

But this is a nice shot. I love the colors and the hands. Very nice shot Shelly!

Exactly. That's what this is all about isn't it. Well that and about the lives these lovely ladies have led.
I knew you'd get it.

B2, you're a card.

V, this is great, I'll bet you can a lot about someone from the way they play bingo.

Oh those hands, they have worked and hugged and lived - there would be so many stories to tell I'm sure!

Also a very technically satisfying photo, well done !
