Yesterday I took a walk around Birmngham's newest urban park,
Railroad Park. Located just south of Birmingham's downtown, it is 18 acres of greenspace, overlooking the railroad tracks that run just north of it. It is a welcome addition to our downtown area that needs it so very much. Today, the children's playground with its nice recycled surface. More to come.

This is so sweet!
excellent title, excellent shot.
Sometimes the shadows tell it better than the real thing.
A playful yet stunning shot. LOVE the green.
Very nice!!! And I can't help but focus on the texture of the surface...looks very interesting and practical for a play surface...looks like it might be cushiony...maybe bits of recycled rubber?
Love the shadows!!!!
You mean all of Birmingham doesn't look like the Pepper Place?
the playground up the street from me used to have sand. I'm guessing that was a cat magnet, and now it has wood shavings.
WV: Asterd. I swear there's a little man inside WV who reads every word we write.
Brilliant shot - awesome contrast - you are amazing!!!
Hiker,
WOOD shavings? A beaver magnet, a termite magnet....
ASTERD? Oh that is so wrong. I'm LOL~!
Or: who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?
I love, love this photo! As the father of 3 daughters, I've done a lot of pushing at the swings!
Love this image ..
