A few weeks ago, I posted a photograph of a beautiful yound Indian
girl dancing at the Pepper Place. She along with other Indian dancers and musicians provided a wonderful insight into their culture. An added attraction was a table where you could have the beautiful
henna body art, mehndi, applied. I got lucky enough to find the same dancer getting her hand adorned.

Superb shots, beautiful model, artistic, and your photos are so unique and has lovely colors. (I can`t remember to have seen similar photos on any of the CDP blogs I have been following for nearly 16 months.)
Super shots, sweet young woman ... occasionally the street festivals/fairs here have henna painting ... maybe next time I will indulge .
Daryl,
I think you'd be stunning with these. Go for it.
Gunn,
How nice of you to have followed my blog for so long. Thank you so much for your comments!
These are marvelous images, V.
I've always liked that stuff better than an A or AU painted on the cheek, but I don't think either is for me.
beautiful shot, V! Thanks for your comments back at my place. All is well, just a little misty eyed for yesterday....my mom is in a nursing home now, but they take great care of her. You are the best (and have ESP)
Stunning.
Maybe I'll have my hand done sometime in the future... not! To each his/her own. hahahaha!
Such a beautiful girl and wonderfully "decorated up" for a wedding! I saw a lot of mehndi at a wedding I attended in Bangalore, India in February 2009!
What a beautiful shot! I never knew how the henna was applied. The child herself is beautiful, too.
What grabs me about these is the lighting of (for us) an exotic custom. Just plain lovely.
She is delightful V!!! the pics are wonderful...
The intricate designs on her hand are amazing.
Excellent DOF in the first photo, a winning smile in the second. We really needed the two!
How absolutely beautiful!
Quite simply, a wonderful shot with great depth of field. Is this on your RB site? It'd be great in the Anything We Wear group that I host.
