Who Shot Rock and Roll

Time is running out.  September 18th is the last day to see the Birmingham Museum of Art's great exhibit, Who Shot Rock and Roll - A Photographic History 1955-Present, get your tickets now!

Thanks to Charlemagne Records in Five Points, the outside of the exhibit is almost as fun as what's inside.  I took up tickets last week and thoroughly enjoyed listening to everyone reminisce as they spotted their favorite old records or album covers.

Great shot of records and more interesting its a photo of some real records and not a historical record photo. Only the cd's in it are not so old but good for decoration.

What a very cool shot! It looks like a pattern from the 60's or early 70's.
What flower is that on the header? It's amazing, V.!

JM It's a sunflower. Never have seen one like it before!

Don't know who shot it, but I am glad it's not dead! Love the photos and I am sure I'd have loved the exhibit.

That would be wonderful to see. I do miss the sound of albums.

Thank you for the link! I just looked at the images on the museum's web site. OMG. The one that mimics Manet's Le Déjeuner Sur L'Herbe and the shot of Elvis and the young woman taken from above blow me away. I wish the exhibit were coming here.

Sorry that I wont be able to meet you in LA. We'll go to Chicago in October when Andy takes his second crack at the marathon. Then there is a legal conference in San Antonio in November. That's it for fall travel.
