This guy amuses himself all day long, people watching at the Birmingham Zoo!
Today, my fellow City Daily Photobloggers are posting their idea of PEOPLE WATCHING for our September Theme Day. Click HERE ( Facebook) or HERE to see them all!
Bob, actually he walked over and was just this close to me. I'd turned around to take another photo and somebody said, "Turn around and look!" Very inquisitive this group.
I couldn't figure out what was going on in the thumbnail. then jumped back when I saw the full photo. Not exactly a pretty face, but an amusing take on the theme.
I like it! I was in a pet store once and they had a large grey parrot in a big enclosure in the middle. As I watched the parrot, some shoppers walked up and began to ask the bird to speak, that sort of thing. He hopped near the outside and began bobbing and nodding his head. Sure enough, the shoppers began to imitate the bird, who grew gradually more animated. The humans reciprocated, chattering excitedly. Eventually, the parrot walked away to get a bite to eat. I saw this exact same scene play itself out 3 times before I left with a huge smile.
I have lived in Birmingham most of my life. I think it's a beautiful, friendly, and interesting place to live. I hope that my daily photographs portray the diversity of my hometown in a positive and artistic way.

He himself is pretty amusing.
I wonder what zoo animals think of us as they and we watch one another.
Ha ha Virginia! Clever twist! Everyone posted people, you posted an animal!
Love the perspective and rear bokeh
oh clever one!
He looks like he uses boot polish to keep that beak spick'n'span.
clever!
I think I could amuse myself all day just watching him watch at people!
Clever idea! But does it ever react to the passing crowd?

Great photo of this guy. We were at the zoo last year. I should go more often.
Have a safe and happy Labor Day weekend.

Haha, love your choice for theme day. He's quite a handsome fellow in his (her?) own way! :)
Oh that is too funny Virginia, I love the way you've taken this shot, he looks like a real character.
Ha ha ha, what a great one!
I think it's one of the best photos I've seen on this theme day!

The bird was training people.
