High Tech

Promethean Boards are as common as spiral notebooks and No.2 pencils in our schools these days.  I had the pleasure of visiting the Vestavia Hills City Schools last spring as part of a photography assignment for the Chamber of Commerce's Vestavia Living Magazine.  Getting back into the classrooms was one of my favorite sites.   I've been retired for four years and things have changed in that short time.

My mother-in-law is a retired teach and my future daughter-in-law is in her third year of teaching, and full of enthusiasm, as are her first grade students.

In answer to your question on Sharon's Phoenix Daily Photo site the other day, yes, the champagne glasses with the angel base to the flutes are the ones that we bought in Eze, above Monaco, nd discussed on Jilly's site several years ago.

It's crazy how classroom teaching has transformed over the years.

I wouldn't know a Promethean board if you whacked me over the head with it. If the name refers to the mythological Titan it's a weird, weird choice for school kids.

I have a brother who teaches, seventh and eighth graders. I don't know how he manages; I wouldn't have the patience.
