BADP On The Road Again - Mt Gilead Baptist Church II

Yesterday we saw the lovely old bell tower and front porch of this 100+ year old church in Abercrombie, AL.  Today we step inside this old and deteriorating church.  A treasure that is sadly left to the elements.  If these walls could talk.

There will be more to this series in the coming days. I hope you will stop back and visit.

I bet a schoolteacher printed that! These are really interesting, Virginia. Now I'm waiting to see Mt. Moriah. If you got that one, you really braved Bibb County!

That is, I presume, the pulpit against a decaying white clapboard wall. Evocative enough by itself but the institution is almost 200 years old. I thing you are implying that it is just abandoned. Um um um.

I hate seeing old structures left to rot. You've captured the dignity remaining in this building.
