Slurrrppp!

I get the best photo gigs in town. Saturday I was asked to photograph Adopt a Golden Birmingham's Meet and Greet at Hollywood Feed. I've had the good luck to help them out before and was thrilled to be asked again. This is a feel good event where their dogs in foster care come and the public gets to meet, love on them and then choose the Golden who might be the best fit for their family. AGB has strict guidelines of course, and these dogs only go to homes that will love them and take the best care. Bruce, laid it on thick with a potential Mom. Can you tell she loved it???

A Lucky Boy

Meet Henry.  Henry is a very lucky boy. Thanks to Adopt A Golden Birmingham, he has found his forever home with a very, very, very loving family.  I sat in the grass and photographed Henry yesterday.  I brought treats. He loved me!

Love At First Sight?

Yesterday I had the privilege of shooting another Adopt A Golden Birmingham event at Hollywood Feed.  This is the most heartwarming time when Goldens in foster care get to meet potential humans that will be their "furrever" family.  I think Polly wanted to be this sweet girl's new best friend.

The Belle of the Ball

Many of you will remember Coosa from this post.  She was thrown into the Coosa River with a broken leg and left to drown. Thankfully she was rescued and now is living a happy life with a wonderful family.  Last night at the Adopt a Golden Birmingham's fundraiser, Coosa was the guest of honor, and reunited with her rescuer Darryl and her foster mom Ruth.  She lots of hugs, kisses, and tummy rubs last night, and could not have been more well behaved.  It was her night to shine.

The Right Fit

When you're looking for a rescue pup to adopt, it takes a lot of thought.... and the right feel.  Yesterday I photographed Adopt a Golden Birmingham's adoption event at Hollywood Feed.  About a dozen
glorious Golden Retrievers of various ages with many stories to be told,  were brought by SGB foster parents and volunteers for this monthly event to let potential owners have a look and much more.  As I realized, it's really not about the age or their appearance but more the "feel".  These beautiful dogs were loved, and petted and hugged and hopefully found their new forever home today.  It's a win, win!

A Home For Coosa

Meet Coosa.  Coosa's previous owner threw her overboard into the Coosa River with a badly broken leg, infected ear and malnourished.  Thankfully someone saw it happen and rescued her.  This precious one year old Golden Retriever  is now in a loving foster home waiting to find her forever home.  Her leg is on the mend and from our photo shoot yesterday, I can promise you she is friendly, loving and her foster mom says she doesn't bark, has adjusted to their two dogs and is a happy girl.  Look at that face, get in touch with Adopt a Golden Birmingham if you can offer her a good home!
