Looks like the only ones that can reach these chairs hanging from the rafters might be the spiders.

Cup of Java at O'Henry's

The Table/Chair Series is alive and well!!!

O'Henry's Coffee Shop in downtown Homewood is where my friend Doug and I like to meet for a morning chat from time to time. He's a photographer ( you met him here as my sub in June) so he wasn't a bit embarrassed when I grabbed my camera and started taking some shots in the middle of our conversation!

GOOD NEWS !!
My luggage has turned up in Nashville be home at noon today. That's a very good thing.

The Smoker's Table

Here in Paris it's not uncommon to see people sitting outside of cafes and bistros smoking.
Here in Birmingham, probably not so much. I spotted this weathered table outside of Chez Fonfon on the southside.

The Bottle Tree

The Bottle Tree on Birmingham's southside is just a great fun and funky place to have a drink, some good food and hear live entertainment.   Chef Tom Bagby is a dear family friend,  and he's known for his killer pimento cheese,  as well as some delectable sounding vegetarian dishes,  which I regret to report I've not tried.  It's also a photographer's paradise,  and there will be more photos in days to come.  Don't you just love this table and chairs???

Smoking in the Alley - Table/Chairs Series III

Not the usual fare from BADP. My producer/manager cautioned against using it in fact, but since when do I listen to his good advice?  That,  coupled with a low inventory gave me the courage to post this photo. I am fairly certain that not one of my Birmingham readers will know where this "lovely" spot is located. Want to guess anyone? I'll post the location tomorrow!

( Uh yes, I fiddled with the soft focus a little,  just for fun.  This is a nod to my friend JB at Mainz, Germany  Daily Photo who would call this an "arty farty" shot! )
