Rickwood Field is 99 years and the Oldest Baseball Park in America! Each year in late May the Rickwood Classic is played. The Birmingham Barons and their opponents dress in period uniforms and play at this historic field. It's a great even for families and baseball enthusiasts. This year the field was the site of a Rickwood Family Wedding!

Very creative wedding! What better place to start their lives than home plate.
I am wondering how long the groom remained on his right foot? Certainly a memorable wedding.

It was a perfect event for the Great grandaughter of the founder of Rickwood field!

The groom had a broken foot---so he was mostly on his left foot with the aid of his crutches!
How weird we have just watched Field of Dreams again- then I pop up here. Unique setting for a wedding and a great photo op.
