I have been meaning to visit Frontera for a long time, and take you with me of course. Well I went this week in search of a coffee table base and photos. I found both! Frontera specializes in hand crafted wrought iron furniture and accessories, but they've got lot more. A whole lot more. This wooden crate of hands for instance. I laughed out loud and then pulled my camera out. We'll be back.

All In Favor....

The wooden crate holding the 'hands' is interesting in its own right.

Just this morning, I was wondering if you've ever been to Davis Wholesale Florist on 5th Ave South...there's not a lot of light inside but you might find some interesting things to photograph. They sell to the public so you can waltz right in the door.
I've got to hand it to you, V. You do come up with some interesting images. In fact, I'd say you're the best, hands down (or hands up, as the case may be).

These are like, um, glove mannequins, aren't they? A little spooky. Makes me think of the hands of the aliens in Close Encounters.

I vote this shot an official Birmingham Daily Photo Classic (TM), that's BDPC in shorthand. It brings together Virginia's artistic eye and sense of fun, pulls visitors further in to understand and enjoy what they are seeing, and its just plain beautiful and interesting to look at.
