Add another Birmingham artist to my list! Yesterday I was at
Lite Box Gallery visiting with my talented friend
Kate Merritt Davis. Kate is curator for an upcoming show there beginning Friday, February 12, from 5-9. Who should walk in but Michael Bonadio. Michael is Artist in Residence/Production Manager at
Sloss Furnaces. Michael will have two of his pieces on exhibit ( I have one for you today). Artist......Sloss Furnaces...... two of my favorite things!!!
And my I send a sincere thank you to my faithful blog reader, Beverly and her husband, who recognized me and were so nice to come and say hello yesterday at the Cantina. How wonderful to meet you and put names and faces together!!!

For all of you interested in Michael's work, I am planning a little trip back to Sloss Furnaces to see him in action! I promise to photograph more of his work.

What a portrait! He looks like he's spent the whole day chugging at Starbucks. (And they have Starbucks here in Chile, a few, and lots of Dunkin' Donuts.)

Wonderful close-up! And that header photo makes me feel cold. But, maybe that is because I AM cold (and tired of the cold and snow)!

I had the opportunity to meet Michael a few days ago in an exhibition in Arkansas (or i think it was Arkansas, I've been traveling a lot lately), there were no pieces of his been shown there at the time he was just looking around like me but i recognize him from this exhibit and dared to talk to him, what a nice guy, so down to earth and a great artist as he is I wish him the best
