Ice Fountain

I spotted this gorgeous icy fountain yesterday on Highland Avenue. It was still frozen, although it was beginning to drip at the very bottom. My lucky day I think. Maybe winter isn't all that bad!

Very cool shots, V. And I too am beginning to drip at the very bottom.

How glorious. You've really captured the sparkle and jewel-like effect of this.

DEFINITELY your lucky day! This is worthy to be hung in the palace of Versailles....but it would drip!

Today's and yesterday's photos are VERY special. I'd go on, but I need to slap Earl around a bit.

Hiker,
Feel free and when you're done with him I'll take over.

Beautiful photo of this ice fountain.

Harriet, don't feel sorry for Mr. Earl, he can hold his own any day. Read his comment at the very top. He's a mess and Hiker and I have to keep a close eye on him.

I just read Sadie the Scottie who won the Westminster best in show had a potty accident in front of the judges last year. So it even happens to the great ones.

Oh I don't know.....it all Depends.

That's amazing, V. A natural sculpture and you were there to capture it!

There is a lot of beauty in the "frozen tundra."

I hope I don't have a potty accident at a city council meeting. On the other hand... maybe that wouldn't be such a bad idea.

That is amazing. Obviously colder in your neck of the woods.

I don't mind the chilly if just for this picture!

P.S. I stalked you at Heart Gallery on Thursday night - it was so great to meet you in person!

In retrospect of all the snow we had here in NYC and all the pics I missed for worrying about the trivial things in life like bills...I am ashamed...these pics are purely brilliant , and I do not know if you are a fan of the TED sight ..but it is inspiring on all levels. These pics remind me , of what we are missing. This is a vid to watch. http://www.ted.com/talks/ken_robinson_says_schools_kill_creativity.html

I'm still staring at the second shot! It looks like when you make a 'tower' with champagne glasses and you start putting the drink on the top one. Amazing! But I had no idea it could be this cold in Birmingham...
