My Pal Riley

If you're thinking I've got a new pup, sadly no. This is my buddy Riley. His humans are Jan and Mike Dulin. Riley goes to the recording studio with Mike most days, so when I show up for work ( I use that term loosely) I'm greeted with much barking and tail thumping and the occasional slobber! I wish I thought he just loved me to pieces, but I suspect it's the dog treats I bring him. (Don't tell Mike, Riley's suppose to be on some silly diet.) Well today Jan Dulin is my guest photographer. She took this during our last snow. I think it's just great, thanks Jan! If you want to see more snow photos of Riley and fam, check out Mike's blog.

Jan's not the only one to give me the day off. On of my photography students, Marty Lange, has graciously shared this wonderful photograph. The old office building at the Watkins Brick Company in Ensley.

What a fine composition the second image is!

Riley seems to be saying Where's my doggie treats?!

My son-in-law has a female dog named Riley, and of course, I always think of her as a him. "Your" Riley is very cute!

I think that is a superb photo of the 'house' that your student took.

Congratulation to your student!

And if you are envious of us being able to approach Native American artists, then I am jealous of the snow setting you have to photograph Riley... I have such a hard time taking picture of our black lab "Kelly" :)

Love Riley ... Dlyn (of www.dessertstalker.com) is owned by a Riley ...

And Marty's photo is wonderful.

Riley is a looker, indeed. And he has assumed the universal play stance. He has the same color eyes as Albert, which may indicate more beauty than brains.

The student picture is lovely and reminds me of your work.

Riley looks like a younger Albert...they must be related!!!

You must be a helluva teacher V!!! Your student's work is wonderful!!!

Chieftess,
I can't take any credit for the skills of my students. Marty came to me as a really good photographer.
And Riley and Albert would be buddies I think!

Hiker,
I"m LOL!

Both photos are excellent, but the second one is a real winner!

Both photos are excellent samples of different style of photography.

I love the energy of the first photo and the serenity of the second one.

Two great shots here, Virginia. Of course I can't resist the dog and yes, this is superb. The expression, the moment AND the snow all make up one perfect dog shot.

The softness and quietness of the second shot is so beautiful.

Bravo to your two photographers and their clever teacher!

You still got snow? Cheezes! It's just standard winter gray here. Do dogs from Alabama like snow or they flip out at the site of it?

V, you must be a very good teacher! Your students are excellent photographers.
