I have lived in Birmingham most of my life. I think it's a beautiful, friendly, and interesting place to live. I hope that my daily photographs portray the diversity of my hometown in a positive and artistic way.
I am a former elementary school teacher, a full-time photographer, part-time painter, lover of all things French ( whose français is slowly improving), obsessive Paris traveler, enthusiastic art museum volunteer, grateful community volunteer, and grandmother to 5 delightful grandchildren.

une très belle composition et le b&w est un très bon choix.
Glad you gave us a history lesson as I thought it was Swiss cheese -:)
I like the contrast .. and the 'holes' complimented by the pole and tree
Easily one of the most bizarre buildings in B'ham, but fun to try and photograph. Merci to the walker who added a little interest.
hmmmm...I seem to remember another post of an odd bank building...
Actually...ahem!...it's kind of scary that this is now a gas building....
Beautiful new header V!!!
I was going to say the same thing as Olivier, but he beat me to it.
Olivier/Petrea,
Merci!
Chieftess,
I really like this one too.
Daryl/Chuck,
Holey but not holy! :)
What a brilliant composition, V. Excellent capture.
What a beautifully structured composition. Architecture, nature and man, the perfect combination.
What a cool composition, V.!
Yes, the walker did good! But you allowed him to walk until he juuuuust suited your purpose. Noice patience, m'dear.
