Spiffy, timeless hats. And look at those work hours...like here; start early, leave early, though that is changing now.

Certainly not in fashion anymore.

A timeless shot for a hatless generation. Fingers crossed this shot helps further the renewed interest in hats. I love them.

KM,
I have no idea about that. Have you run across the name in NYC??

Daryl,
I have no idea about a borsolino but you'd look fab in it I know!

Olivier,
Oui, trés bon!

Bibi,
THis is downtown and they pretty much have no traffic after 4, hence the hours.

Brattcat and B2,
Sad but true.

Hats are showing up a lot more than they used to...but not the traditional styles...

Personally, I love these old traditional styles..and I'd love to see hats make a grand comeback!!!

Just last night I was on the internet looking for a felt cowboy style hat, like the Hubman's, but for me!!!

Well you know me I don't care if hats are in or out of fashion, the fact I live in a one horse town where hat wearing maybe banned for some moronic reason.... I love hats. I do see though why wearing a Pirate hat to go the local supermarket may get a girl the odd sideways glance, but a cowboy hat for a beach bbq surely the cap fits.

Love the nostalgic image. Reminds me of my grandad, tribly wearer and dapper gentleman.

Oh, how I love this. I'll take them all.

Who shops for these kind of hats anymore and who wears them? The display is immaculate, the styles look sharp, but I don't know a lot of men who put something on their head other than a baseball cap. Weird hours, too. They open way before anybody wants to go shopping and close before people can do after work or evening errands. I wonder how they keep going.

Gorgeous shot, Virginia. "Ton" is a French word for fashion or style, is it not? So, "bon ton" = good style.

Nathalie said...

Yes Petrea, bon ton = good style, good manners.

A perfectly apt name for such a lovely collection of hats. The photo is wonderful. Did you change it to sepia in post processing or are these the natural colors?
