Next Tuesday, November 2, my Birmingham readers need to be at
Bare Hands Gallery (109 Richard Arrington Blvd) for the annual
Dia de los Muertos celebration. This is one of my favorite festivals each year, but I'll be working the the polls for the election held the same day, so I regret I'll miss it. I plan to visit Bare Hands on Wednesday before they remove the alters etc. and get a few photos for you.

I'll be looking forward to your images of the Day!
Day of the dead. I think Mexico has days like this. Didn't know Alabama did.
Yikes. I can hear someone singing, "Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones" in the background.
I always thought "Day of the Dead" referred to test day in my 8th grade American History class.
She needs to eat something.
Yes, but she has a good lookin' set of chompers! That's great you'll be working the polls. I love election day.
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday dear Virginia,
Happy Birthday to you!

Oh I wish I could be there ... sigh ..BUT I know seeing your photos will be almost like being there
Ahhhhh! Is it Scarlet's birthday? I'm sending you a big, rib-cracking virtual hug. Happy Birthday, Virg!
Ahhhhh Mary is a day early. I have one more day to be YOUNG! HARRR
We talked about - Dia de los Muertos last night in my ESL class. My students are from Mexico, Peru, and Guatamala. Mexico celebrates on the 2nd; Peru and Guatamala on the 1st.
I would love to go there as I'm a big fan of the Dia de los Muertos celebrations!
Happy day before your birthday Virg!!! Growing younger as the years go by!!!
PS...love your banner photo!!!
wv: derier!!!
Make sure you do get some photo. Lady in red, so vibrant needs a decent meal though.
Looks like the deceased of Alabama are ready to party. You're doing the right thing Tuesday, though. Don't let any Tea Party election fraud slip through.
