The Lady

This beautiful piece of statuary was found across the street from Fritz Woehle's  The Garage.  She's surrounded by all types of architectural remnants, old doors, gates, etc. Somehow she seems to have her own quiet spot.

Just coming by to say hi...
Quiet places, that's all what we are looking for, isn't it?

Do you suppose the artist who created her also felt such serenity?

There was a time where lots of these sat throughout our neighborhoods. There was one on our dashboard. THAT was another time.

Very peaceful looking. She can be found everywhere here in Santa Fe. P.S I love your banner photo.

Nice light, V. Especially on the face. Gives her a quiet strength, in the midst of a turbulent and messy world - "architectural remnants, old doors, gates, etc."

Really like how you arranged the light/dark on the face. Images of Mary usually seem to have her looking upward or downward. Does she ever look you in the eye?

Just love places like this. Pity tho she's not still on the grave where she belongs. A beautiful shot, Virginia.
