I've been posting photographs here since June 20, 2008, 870 posts to be exact. When I first embarked on this fabulous journey, I thought posting a shot each day with a short caption would be a "piece of cake!" Well it has been for the most part. On the other hand, there have been weeks of sorry weather or when I'm covered up with work, projects etc and I haven't found much to share with you. The last few weeks I've been training for a new job and well.............I don't have a lot new stuff. I go dumpster diving frequently, and this week, I found some photographs that I will be honest, I'd overlooked. I'll be sharing some more from time to time. I hope to get out and get fresh photos for you soon. In the meantime, I hope you'll understand.

poetique, douceur, une tres belle utilisation du temps de pose, j'adore.
Wow! Seriously "WOW"
Right up there with Degas, girl
Olivier,
It was a stroke of luck . I wish I knew how it happened. Merci beaucoup pour votre comment!!
JB,
Seriously? Really??
Very pretty; glad you dug this one out.
This is stunning, Virginia. We all understand that pull you're struggling with right now. But if this is what you're going to pluck out of the dumpster, you can keep posting "old shots" indefinitely as far as I'm concerned.
Don't go disappearing on me gal now I'm back in the saddle! I thought dumpster diving was a knew Olympics sport at first.... Lost in Translation again... oh tangents the photo. Love it! Ethereal, surreal and of course the title. No not because it's an Elton John song. but because the Foo Fighters covered it......move over anyone in the sin bin I'm back.
Gorgeous!
V, I did not know you the first time you covered this subject and find this ethereal. Dive, sister, dive! Can't wait to see what else you uncover.
It's almost impossible to stay inside these days. The mornings are wonderfully cold and misty. The afternoons awash in gem-like color. I make myself stay at my desk until 2. Then I permit myself to go off on rambles. But I feel guilty every morning about the photo opportunities missed.
Very artistic indeed V.
Looks really "fresh" to me...and we'd never know you were "dumpster diving" if you hadn't told us, and what in the world difference does it make anyhoo?
Just show us your artistic photos of your fine city...if you took them back in 1890...wait, I meant 1980...that's just fine!
This is a superb photo!
Hey, no problem, it's the image that counts. This is a particularly good one. It's delicate and gentle.
I don't know how you missed this one. It's really wonderful.
geesh I love his color, it's like the color of innocence
Sweet sweet delight! Sometimes lack of fresh material is a blessing - it gives overlooked photos a chance to come out. This one is not only stunning but very powerful emotionally!
(I think in post processing I would have gotten rid of the little strong pink "dot" in the top left corner - it is distracting the eye from the main subject.
I so wish I had taken that photo - I'd be so proud :-)
All I can say is if this is a dumpster photo, point me in the direction of the dumpster! This is stunning. So lyrical. Colour/textures gorgeous. Such atmosphere. Just adore it. Oh bravo Madame.

Fantastic, V. Wow.
They've all said it - you've got a fabulous dumpster! Who cares if you didn't just take it. Make it easy on yourself V.
