Here in my Forest Park neighborhood, we are thrilled to welcome new businesses. Today we visit my favorite coffee shop.......
.Forest Perk. Actually we have been
here before, but I wanted to do a formal introduction today. It's independently owned, (not one of those uppity, mega coffee places), for which I'm grateful. Owner Caleb Kinsaul and his friendly staff are just who you need to see when you stagger in for your first cup of the day or meet a friend and linger over several cups and some of their tasty scones and mufffins. Friendly neighborhood coffee shop... glad they're here!

Have a great week Virginia.

I'm just having my morning coffee over your blog. Forest Perk is a clever name. Just yesterday Israel TV was talking about new research that shows 2-3 cups per day is beneficial in preventing some bad sicknesses of old age.
tres belle photo, j'adore la profondeur de champs et cette lumiere si douce
I love when the ordinary everyday becomes extraordinary .. like this
Moi aussi, j'aime l'odeur du café! A Paris, il est agréable de boire une tasse de café et de manger un petit biscuit avec!!
Je pars à New York mais j'essaierai de lire votre blog !
A bientôt!
I particularly love the reflections in the creamers and the coffee mug.
An asset to any neighborhood.
I wondered why you were getting all huffy over at my blog, and now I see -- you haven't had your coffee yet.
(Yay for the independent coffee shops. And real cups.
kava kava!
Wonderful reflections in the creamer containers. And, yes, having a locally owned coffee shop nearby is terrific. I must admit, though, I'm partial to Starbucks and their pumpkin spice lattes this time of year. **confession over**
I used to stop at a locally owned coffee place on my way to work every day!!! Loved it, and it was the best coffee ever!!! Now there are several local spots I frequent!!! Yay Local!!!
Ummm, I'll have a venti nonfat latte with an extra shot. But wait a minute - it's quarter after nine at night. Make that a glass of malbec.
Nine days. Nine days and I get to have coffee again. I can smell Forest Perk from here.
Ahh! My kind of place! Even though I spend many days across the street from the original Starbucks, it has been several years since I've been inside to stand in line for their coffee. I much prefer a locally owned and independent coffee house a few doors south ... Local Color ... to spend my few dollars each week.
The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup. Tralala
Mmmmmhh - I wondered at Bob's line "I'll have a venti nonfat latte.
Try and tell a French waiter you want a venti nonfat latte and enjoy the puzzled look on his face. He wouldn't have a clue. I don't either.
I understand the nonfat latte bit but what's venti?
A friend of mine who's just been living in Sydney for 4 years came back to Aix en Provence and requested a babycchino for her 3 year-old daughter - she was angry to find that the waiter had never heard of it.
We may have Starbuck's in France now but our cultural differences are larger than we think.
