Charlie's Fountain

I never  go to the Pepper Place Market without making a swing through Charlie Thigpen's outdoor garden. I always have fun chatting with Charlie himself and taking a few photos. I try and stay out of his Garden Gallery shop because I can't ever walk out empty handed. They have such healthy plants and fabulous pots and garden accoutrements!  I have tried to capture this  fountain many times. Yesterday, I think I got it.

My goodness, didn't you just! This is a beautiful photo, Virginia. I think we all have favourite place where it's impossible to walk without taking a photo or buying something.

Nice! I wonder if our Charlie would like this garden?

I almost posted the photos I took of that fountain today but instead I posted both some of the shots I took on Morris St AND a shot of that odd sunflower from Pepper Place ..

Very soothing. Is that Virginia Creeper on the wall? Cool to have a neat plant like that named after you!

The bottom part of the Virginia Creeper looks like land art! Very nice capture Virginia.

I guess I wouldn't have gotten out of there without buying the fountain.

You mean it's not pronounced "accootermints?"

Petrea, JB for once, gives me more credit than I deserve. I THINK I am saying it the French way but more than likely I SOUND like yours! HA

Japanese, with an American industrial twist. You see pipes slowly pouring water in lots of Buddhist temples for ritual purification of the hands, but the pipes are bamboo, not steel or copper. Really like the varied color of the plant on the wall.
