CDP Theme Day - Postcard-worthy

Japanese Bridge
Japanese Garden, Birmingham Botanical Gardens

It's the first of month already and you know what that means by now....City Daily Photo's Theme Day!
This month's theme is Postcard-worthy.  This was a no brainer.  The bridge in the serene Japanese Garden at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens is a show stopper.

There are almost a thousand CDP bloggers from right here in Alabama ( have a look at Selma's DP here) and around the world.  They will have some fabulous photos to share of their fair cities.

Very Giverny, VJ. Lovely splice of Christmas in July! i love lichen on rocks, too. We have a lot of that dotted over our countryside.

Just lovely. Adore the reflection. You could almost be in Monaco in our Japanese Garden. And if you were, we'd be sitting having glasses of wine somewhere near, wouldn't we?

J'aime ces ponts d'inspiration japonaise. Ca me rappelle un peu Giverny (Monet).
La photo est très belle.

Very Monet. I like it :)

Monet would paint it like this!

With a pastel effect, this could be a Monet project! :-) But I do like the brilliant red against the dark background. Very nice.

I'm going to check out your book, V, but I've been dealing with some other issues and wanted to give it the time it deserves. I'll get back to you on that. Looking forward to it!

I have no better chance of remembering theme day as what I had for lunch yesterday - unless, of course, you remind me. I love our Japanese garden and yours is equally lovely. In like it best in snow. Gotcha there.
