I don't know how mysterious you'll find this, but it's my City Daily Photo offering today. I think there will be some unusual and very fun photos posted by CDP bloggers around the world. I hope you'll have a look.
Tomorrow I'll include the entire photograph along with my blog post. :)

Its a very special shot
looks mysterious !!!
Gosh, that is mysterious. My guess is a drop of water but I'm not at all sure. Beautiful textures to this photo.
Perhaps a rock fountain? ...intriguing whatever it is...always got me thinking when I come here Virginia, love your talent. :)
I'm stumped Virginia, looks like it might be an ice block melting on top of something...will have to wait until tomorrow!!
a hole in a water bed?
i'm guessing some sort of fountain but that seems too simple. i'm going to imagine that's melted chocolate because that's what i want a cup of right now. whatever it is it's a fine image.
Its a mystery to me Virginia.

Oh my! I have no idea, but my best guess would be something at Sloss Furnace.
You are a mysterious person. You must be to come up with this. It appears to me to be a balloon with a drop of water clinging to it...
Goodness, I have no idea what it is. I'm also guessing some kind of fountain though. It looks shiny, like water. :)
i like water bubbling on metal. great angle and lighting
I've already told you my guess and I will not be saying it here. hehehe
Looks to be some water shot.
My first thought was that it was an alien breast with a nipple dripping water, but I'm probably not right.
One of those bubbling rock thingies?...at the Pepper Place garden shop. :)
I'm guessing it's a glazed "stone" water fountain. It looks so cool and soothing.

I am so glad that you liked my blog. We stayed in Birmingham for a long weekend a couple of years ago and it will be really nice (and a pleasure too) to follow your blog and so keep in touch with the city. Your BlurbBook about Paris looks very impressive too (the few pages that are visible).
As a token of Blurb-friendship I thought you might like to view the little Blurb I did for a nephew on our visit to Birmingham!:-) :

I'm the one on the dark-blue tie-shirt on the back cover.
Um, that's a potted plant in the background so we have scale. I can't tell if this object is wet or maybe vinyl. All will be revealed.
:)
GAH I missed your post AND the CDP monthly!
Wonderful shot..... i like it.
