Great photo, like a part of a still live on a painting. But I get the impression that this books are lying for decoration purpose only. So I agree with you , read.

that top book has a story to tell, for sure, in addition to the story it holds in its pages. you make us want to untie that ribbon and open it.

All tied up nicely with a red ribbon.

With a Kindle? :-)

I've got an iPad and have yet to download a book...I want the real thing, in my hand, so I can feel the paper and smell the glue and turn the pages physically!

Lovely photo, though!

Lovely antique feeling to this scene!
I thought this was going to be a photo from the library -- does the old downtown library (geneology center now, I think) still have those wonderful murals?

FH,
Yes what was THE library still has those wonderful murals and you might be able to do a search of my blog posts and find a photo. Wonderful memories from high school when we headed down there to "study" !H A

Very nice capture -- good eye! (Somehow, this photo wouldn't be the same if it was a wrapped iPad behind that pane of glass.)

Looks like the top one had suffered from a bit of humidity. Hope it wasn't too bad and the pages aren't all stuck together now.

Great atmosphere here!

Was this the one you're referring to, Virginia?

Fancy Horse, no this link but now I see I didn't capture the murals here. I have others. I'll post one just for you!
