Many of the camellia blooms at the Botanical Gardens have survived the cold snap a few weeks ago. We've had so much rain that they were scattered on the ground. I loved the browned blossoms along with the pink ones.

Virginia, thanks for this photo. I can't count the times I saw sights just like this, back when I lived in Jackson, Mississippi, and walked around in my maternal grandmother's yard. About the rain, everyone I know in Jackson is tired of it. And thank goodness no one I know got hurt when the tornado hit Hattiesburg--I think their houses are OK, too.
Here camelias have not started blooming yet.
