Now that's quite an antique!

It's been a long time since I've seen, much less used, one of those. I remember that the mouthpieces usually smelled "funny", and I always looked to see if someone had left their change. Sometimes I found some! Once in a great while.

How long have you been spelling it Birgmingham in your banner?

So familiar and so long gone. It makes me think of my high school days, calling my parents from a subway station or street corner in Manhattan to tell them I'd be home late.

This reminds me of Saturday mornings with my Dad (many years ago). We used to drive down to Eagle Rock, next to Pasadena, CA, and stop at all the telephones on the main street. I would check for coins. The proceeds (usually about a $1) was spent at Woolworths Five & Dime. Happy Days!
