Yesterday found Birmingham drenched in rain with lightning lighting up the skies and rumbles of thunder rattling the widowpanes day and night. Today there are predictions of a smattering of snow- yes, SNOW!!! If we get even a FLAKE, believe me , you'll see it. I thought this tree in Mountain Brook Village was a good image for the weather we've been experiencing.

Okay, now I feel like a kid on snow watch. How exciting!
This image is outstanding, V.
V,
This fine shot of bare branches on a rainy day is a perfect match.

PS. Don't go to any trouble about Pollock and have a great weekend!
I do love a good storm! (When I'm sheltered.) This is a beautiful play of shadows and light.
We dion't tend to get storms like that here, although I love the feeling they produce!
Great atmospheric photo.
Jeurgen, actually I think my grandchildren could sling a little paint and make you a fine Pollock look alike!HA
Laurie, We have at least one "snow watch" that gets eveyone hyped up for NOTHING every winter. I don't have high hopes.
Lacey against the sky. We on the other hand are clear and sunny and heading to the upper 70's. I'm excited.
Okay, life is finally calming down a bit on this end. This picture looks like a scene from a B&W Alfred Hitchcock movie. Perhaps the Black Morte from my post a few days ago should pay a visit. Superb work, by the way.
Trees and sky, our treasures...
I woke up this morning and wondered if you had any snow yet! Well?
Last night we were following the reports that showed heavy weather moving through your area. I'm glad you came through without any damage. The lighting in the photo is wonderful. Very nice, V.
I can predict a storm. My stomach does somersaults and I get a headcahe. Electrical activity or some such alien connection(nonsense) Haunting image. Portent of doom with a shock of optimistic light. Even you
might get snow!
Great photo! Even an impending storm has beautiful moments.
Hey Bob, wait till later on this week. I have another photo I might use that will harken back to a Hitchcock for sure.
I have been without internet since early in the day. Hmmm, I think I might be a tad dependent! Well anyway, thanks for you comments . Can't wait to see what all you creative CDPB folks put up for Theme Day.
BTW, from the looks of it we have a snowball's chance in hell of getting snow tonight but we'll see. I'm just glad I won't be listening to thunder all night like last night.
What a dramatic catch! Beautiful photo!
Virginia, This shot is beautiful. I light is fantastic and the feeling it gives off.... I love it!
