Love Boots!

It's Valentine's Day so put on your foxy red love boots and boogie the night away!!  I have been looking at these snazzy boots in the window of Zoe's for weeks.  Zoe's is a funky little consignment shop specializing in vintage wear.  The shop is in my neighborhood and I love driving by and seeing all the outrageous/nostalgic clothing displayed in their windows.  Yesterday I popped in and took these photos.  Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Every woman should have a pair of red shoes...at least that's what my mother told me. But, red boots! Now that's really jazzy!!

You know, those are so YOU, V! What you really need to do is wear them in Paris...

those are really cool boots! I could never wear them because I am such a klutz. I would fall on my face or break an ankle...sexy, huh? lol

Not for me this year I have a broken pinky toe!

They are definitely red! But I don't think I'd love to wear them---painful? The mannequins are great, too!

Love the mannequin photo. Those faces are much more fun than the traditional ones. (The ones in Sears give me nightmares.)

Thanks guys but I must bow to our own Eric at Paris DP today. His photo definitely wins the prize for Valentine's Day. Whew!!!!!! Expect your monitor to steam up.

Oh wow. I really love these mannequins in the last picture. They are so cool. Wow. I used to work in Window Display when I hitchhiked to Tucson, Arizona. Back in 1952.

I also like the red boots. I can see some perky ladies wearing them. They almost instantly reminded me of that sexy commercial about the pajamas the men are supposed to send the ladies.

Aren't you gonna look sassy in those boots!!!
Happy Valentine's day.

I sure like the red colour of those boots but I don't know where I'd get away with wearing them.

The mannequins remind me of Modigliani paintings.

This banner works for me but Spring is still a ways off here at the North Pole.

Virginia, Wayne's comment has me laughing hysterically. Oh my. Doc Martin's in red patent leather, classic 80s backup singer wear. And you even show us the back up singers, with their "doo doodoo doodoo doo doodoo doo doodoo doodoo doo doodoo. . . take a walk on the wild side. . . (w/ thanks to Barbara R. who 'sang' this on her VDP blog the other day) :-)

I want those boots. Seriously!

Virginia said...

Laurie I can run down and get the boots for you but it looks like you'll have to go the mat with Wayne for 'em.

Kim, I guess it was my inner back up singer coming out today! BTW, I had to get up in the front window to get the girls in all their snooty glory! I guess I was a sight from the street!

They are some serious boots! Wow!

I used to wear'em. Hell I still would. I have no sense of age. Interestingly I have a red bag that is a ringer fro those boots. They are made for walking my way.

Virginia said...

W,
No, No, No. They're not YOU!

B,
Girl I knew you had some without even asking.

They're not for me. Lord I"d fall and break something.

Virgina, I'm just imagining you up in the window. . .hope you had "put on your red dress, mama, and your wig hat on your head" ;^)
Say, I just noticed your trip to France this summer and it sounds exciting! My daughter is heading for Portugal about then and it would be fun if I could head over with you. I know it would be a great time. I'll have to check the dates. Do folks need to bring their laptops for the studio parts? Good for you that you're going in this direction. I've often thought of leading photo walking tours here, but life's been too much in the way of that the past couple years.

Wow! Those boots are awesome! I was flying back from Mexico on V-Day, however, so I don't think they would have been a good thing to wear that day.
