Today is Easter Sunday, and I am pleased to share this beautiful cross that will stand in the front of my church this morning. At 11 and half feet tall, it took my breath away when it was finished, and the last lily was lovingly tucked into place yesterday. What a powerful message it symbolizes. I'm including another photo as well. This is the cross our crucifer will bear as he leads the processional into the sanctuary this morning. For those of you celebrating Easter around the world , I send blessings to your and your family!

really beautiful, and I can smell their sweet scent all the way over here. Happy Easter.
Virginia, A joyous Easter to you and your family. This is beautiful.
I didn't get a single good photo for Easter so I'm glad you took enough to go around. Happy Blessed Easter, Virginia (and I wore a hat!).
Wow 11 1/2 feet! Blessings and Happy Easter to you and your family.
Happy Easter Virg!
Beautiful. Happy Easter to you and yours!
My Easter is on hold. I am working throughout. Photographers have a busy time now, but hey it beats an office job. Beautiful display, and the second one dof is nicely done. I am getting very excited about your Paris trip, even though I will only get to participate virtually.
Thank you everyone for stopping on this special day. I appreciate your warm wishes.

I'm starting to get excited about my trip too. Bob Crowe is there right now and his photos are fun to see.
I hope you get a respite from your workload so you can enjoy spring a little.

Beautiful cross and captures. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
That looks like it was a lot of work to make. Beautiful!
That is really beautiful. The scent must have been wonderful too. Happy Easter :)
V, the cross of lilies must have been completely stunning! And it was most certainly worthy of your elegant sanctuary. Once again... beautiful work on your part.
What a treat to see these and your shots from yesterday. My parents were not church people but every year I received a new outfit and new shoes for Easter and went off to services with neighbors at their church, a quarter or 50 cent piece in gloved hand for the offering. I especially love today's second photo. The children at our church each brought a spring flower to place on a large wire form, making a floral cross. I didn't have a camera in hand this morning, but it was colorful and lovely.
I liked seeing the glipse of the rich stained glass and the beautiful oak paneling. 1920's sanctuary?
