SHADOW SERIES II
Several weeks ago fellow bloggers
Maya and
Janet visited me here in Birmingham. I decided to take them on a little road trip north to Cullman, Alabama. We stopped at the
Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrement on our way out of town. I must give Janet a nod for this shot. She "saw" it first and I of course copied her. The bottom photo is the detailed railing in front. You may have noticed a bit of it
here.
THREE WEEKS FROM TODAY, WE LEAVE FOR PARIS!!!

Both superb shots! I really enjoyed our little day trip. Being with you meant we were not just two balls lost in high weeds!
Lovely, Virginia, just lovely. I love symmetrical (almost!) architectural shots.
BTW I have a table and chairs for you on Monday (I think Monday--if not, shortly thereafter.) I think you've started something!
Images of a rare beauty ...
the first has a particular fascination, almost a sense of loss in the repetition of forms that enchant ...
Wonderful!
:-)
Perfect shadows...don't they make a great photo op?
Most equilibrated architecture above. Absolut nothing is deranging - optimally captured!
Both shots are wonderful! I love repetitions! Well done, V.!
3 weeks! (I really like these muted colors.)
It seems that these elegant and repeating arches seem to be found only in places where the mind and/or soul is hightly treasured. The sepia tint is just right on these, V.

Very nice! The first photo is wonderful.
very peaceful images.
seems like you just returned from Paris, Virginia!
PJ,
No sepia here, just a little titch of saturation and some cropping. I'll admit that it does look like it. Actually beter, since my sepia efforts of late look green or something icky..

Lost ball in high weeds. Lord I taught you two something anyway! I'm hungry for some mashed potatoes!
That top one reminds me of a print I keep meaning to send you.
Just here catching up! I know you remember how hectic these last weeks can be at school....I have missed BADP...wow and wow and wow on these shadows! Happpy May to you!
Such a great perspective!!
Superb clean lines! Nicely done.
When you are in Paris, take some photos of the Metro so you won't have to show the one you shared with me earlier today. LOL!
So dreamy in cream.
Looks like you are already in Paris. Just love this creamy sandstone colour that surrounds your Birmingham.
beautiful shots!
Ouch!
This is bloody good...
