CDP Theme Day - RED!

Today is the first of the month, so it's Theme Day for City Daily Photo Bloggers all over the world. Today we are all seeing red! Well this theme has my name written all over it! I had quite a few to choose from of course, but decided to share this one. This is the old caboose, right off the tracks where the Irondale Chamber of Commerce hangs out. It was great fun to photograph, in fact I have a few more to sprinkle around in days to come.

My fellow bloggers have some terrific photos to share. Please give them a visit.

Great work on lines Virginia. I look forward to your other entries later in the week too. Red is a wonderful theme, isn't it?

Super, super image Ms. V. Your composition just sings. Circle, triangle square rectangle color line form perfection.

I love the narrow depth of field, how it nearly obliterated the lines behind. Nicely done!

I heard you had a nice caboose.

Don't see many of them anymore. A good choice for Theme Day.

Great photo, lighting and composition. And red cabooses aren't as common as they used to be.

Mais oui Monsieur Earl...she DOES have a nice caboose. Virg, this is one of your best photos ever; I can just see it blown up on a stretched canvas in a child's room or in a contemporary restaurant!

Neat shot, Virginia! You have a fine eye for composition, joyfully on display here!

Wow.

Just lovely, V. At first I thought it was a porthole on some kind of vessel...I should get my caboose kicked!

Victor said...

Nice one V! Simple is good and you really got it working for you on this image. Bravo!

You've shown me this picture before but I like it more the more I see it. Simple, strong graphics, obviously a real object but, without your note, the viewer has a "whazzat?" reaction. It reminds me of one of my favorite contemporary painters, James Rosenquist. Might not be up your alley. At all.

A very dynamic Red certainly well deserved by this caboose.

Hahaha! Did they consult with you before picking this theme? I like the yellow with the red.
