Friday I spent about three hours downtown at Linn Park. The Magic City Art Connection cranked up at 10 and I was right there. Sadly Saturday was a wash out. Today looks much better, so you Birmingham readers PLEASE go down and support the artists that have come from all over the country for this great event. Sunday hours.....10-6!
Today, I am featuring Jonah Tobin Shaffer, who had a wonderful display of tie dyed garments and fabric that was gloriously blowing in the wonderful spring breeze.

You've shown us in that first image that we can 'see the wind'. Wonderful capture, V.
I love this, especially the first photo. Both take me right back to high school......oh, those tie-dyes...
Love the header shot, I admire how you change them up to work with the photos in your posts .. and tyedye .. ah I was such a hippie .. the memories these bring back .. hazy but still there
Great designs and colors. I'm partial to the second one.
Believe it not, I do not and have not ever worn tie dye. I was a madras girl!!! I did fondle a few tie dyed scarves from this guy though.

My eldest sister moved from LA to Eugene Oregon about 6 years ago...her first Christmas present from Eugene to the hubman was a tye-dyed roll of toilet paper!!! The next year, it was tye-dyed boxers!!!
Oh V - I love the header - but I always do. I am always sorry to see one go but then I love the new one. Oh what am I to do? Just love 'em all I guess. These are beautiful - so glad they could be back after a washout Saturday. I never had any either but I CAN enjoy.
Very fun header!!! Love the colors and the imagination!!!
Wind and sun rays add life to these beautiful colors.
It's colored wind. Or maybe it reminds me of Chihuly's flowing glass. Cool stuff.
The cloth is so beautiful - but what you did in that 1st photo is turn the event into an extraordinary photo!
These shots of the beautiful fabric are fabulous, Virginia. I've always loved tie-dye - from my hippie days (which have never quite left me!) to the years in Queensland when you saw it everywhere.
You fondled WHAT?!
My wife and I both love art fairs! Great fabrics to dye for indeed!
