Dog Days of Summer 2011 - Chase

Meet Chase.  Chase is my friend Beff's new love.  Just a few months ago he was a chubby little puppy with very big paws chewing everything sight.  Now he's a big boy but is still chewing everything in sight from what I hear.  He posed for me at Pepper Place last Saturday.....but not for long!

I love dog paws. Did you ever smell a dog's paw (pads)? I am not kidding; it is such a homey smell, like a wool sweater.

It is not easy to get a portrait of a dog, but you succeeded!

That's still a BIG paw for still close to puppy age. Is that my puppy? hahahaha

Bibi, you are right about the dog paws. I have a nearly 8 month old pup and this is a new smell to me. In some strange way, it is a very satisfying/comforting smell when she is tucked into her crate and I'm lying on the sofa beside her.

V - I bet you never thought your photo would lead to such an obscure topic of conversation!

Harriet, I 've had stranger comment threads believe me. And I do know the "kitty paw " smell! :)

It's the light that makes the top shot. But, you know, I couldn't have told you how many "toes" dogs have without looking at it. Shows what I know.

Cute lab. Well that chewing could go on for a long time yet... 2 years! That's a lab for you. Can never resist a dog's foot.
