Who says you can't go home again. I did yesterday. I took a little road trip to Auburn to spend some great time with dear friends. They were kind enough to drop me off at Samford Hall for a little photo time. Many very special memories came flooding back. As I crossed the street after getting a few at Toomer's Drugs, this dad and his sweet boy were headed over to the that very special corner. Good times in Auburn!
Oh and I might have a few more special memories to share here. I'm sure my U of A readers will understand!

Sweet photo V!!! And that red really makes it pop!!!
This photograph reminds me a book about the Dad raising a little kid with unique single father style parenting.
This photograph would be even more striking being in black and white
this is a wonderful image, full of color, tenderness, and symbolism.
Ah memories... sweet picture.
So you can go home .. I look forward to sharing your memories
I'm a little sad about "going home to Auburn" as my oldest will be returning for her sophomore year in a couple of weeks. She, on the other hand, can't wait to get back. The summer goes too fast!
Chieftess,
Actually this would be ORANGE and blue that the boy was wearing. We don't talk about red when in Auburn! :)
Meghan,
Lucky girl, I know you will miss her. Things have really changed down there but this part of the campus was just as I remembered it, except for the dying trees there on the corner.
Red?? I think not!
How many generations of boys have been carried across that campus on their dad's shoulders?
You always capture the moment.
I stand corrected and beg forgiveness!!! (But it still makes the photo pop!!!)
War Eagle!!!
I haven't been there since the trees were poisoned. Very different now, and very sad.
Great photo! Emotional and evocative
