I am all for Dia de los Muertos remembrances, although Dia de los Muertos is usually around Dec 1, although that is a crowded time on the holiday calendar.
Good morning, V! Nancy has become acquainted with Spider's daughter through the B'ham celebration of Day of the Dead, held every November 2. Love this image. Still traveling today?
I've never heard of him and I'm so glad you provided a link. That's a hell of a body of work. World's greatest photographer? That's like asking who was the world's greatest pianist. (It was Horowitz.) There is no Nobel Prize prize committee for the title but this guy is in the running. Your picture gives me a reason to look further.
I have lived in Birmingham most of my life. I think it's a beautiful, friendly, and interesting place to live. I hope that my daily photographs portray the diversity of my hometown in a positive and artistic way.
I am a former elementary school teacher, a full-time photographer, part-time painter, lover of all things French ( whose français is slowly improving), obsessive Paris traveler, enthusiastic art museum volunteer, grateful community volunteer, and grandmother to 5 delightful grandchildren.

Thanks for that link. I had heard of him, but didn't know very much about him. What a remarkable life! He was so young when he died, only 64.
