Good Morning Glory!

One thing I love about blogging is that I am constantly inspired by other photographer/bloggers.  Today, I give a nod to my friend Costas in Athens, Greece.  His blog, Nature Digital, often features his fine macro photography as well as photographs from his beloved native home,  Crete.   I found this lovely Morning Glory vine growing on the fence beside Bottega on Highland Avenue recently.  I love this "old timey" flower.  You really don't see it so much anymore.  Costas, this bloom is for you my friend!

If you put your ear to it, I think you will hear a fine aria.

There is a sense of motion or propulsion in the flower, as if it were thrusting forward. Makes me thing of a moving jellyfish, but that's just my loose associations.

This is an honor I am not sure i really deserve.
It has more value for me as it is coming from you, who are teaching us how photography should be done.
Thank you Virginia.

SRQ, it is. I"ve learned so much about blogging and photography from all of you!

Red Pat, They are an old fashioned flower I think too!

MAD, One never knows what will rattle JB's cage! HA

Leif, I've afraid to see the details tomorrow but can't wait.

Bird, his macros are very good. I'm still learning. Most of mine are blurry.

Costas, you are very welcome. I"m glad you liked it.

Bob, what would we do without your free associations! HA

Catt, only you would think of that wonderful similarity.

JB, this coming from the man that had this post???
