No matter where you go around town, that's what everybody's saying. I've lived here most of my life, but somehow I'm always surprised at how hot it gets in July. Maybe if I had this fine Emerson Junior that I found at
On a Shoestring yesterday, it would help! ( I LOVE this place!)

103 was today's temperature around here. Just about melting!
Emerson Junior? Sounds a bit like cradle-robbing, Ms Jones....
i love those old fans. beautiful composition.
A classic -- but I prefer a.c.! And, yes, it's hot enough for me.
And I love that fan!
We had something similar growing up. I actually have a memory of my mother setting a big bowl full of ice cubes behind the fan and us sitting in front of it.
Guess we were all kind of hoping you'd buy that fan for a certain special someone. That special someone in, oh, I don't know, Altadena, maybe.
I want all those lovely bronze and gold colors that go with it, though.
great old fan!

Its a comfortable day here in the previously Baked Big Apple
That's such a pretty old thing. I love it when you shoot antiques. And listen, V, the shipping to Altadena's too much. Pasadena's a bit closer.
Wow. We had a couple of these, or something very similar, in our apartment in Queens when I was a kid. It's still all that some people have today. The warm colors add a perfect touch.
What a beautiful old fan. Love it.
oh i adore that old fan! sounds like i shop i'd love!
I just love vintage fans and I, actually, have one that I really like, but this one looks older and even nicer. Great find and photo!
Rusty and full of charm fan!
Here, august will be much more hot than july..
You must have a special attraction for ancient artifacts. I remember a fan like this from my childhood, that's how I know. :-)
