We've had high temps and a lot of rain lately. Sort of "saunaish", as some say. This lady found the perfect thing to beat the heat... what we've been known to call a "funeral home" fan.
I dont know if that kind of fan is really fun in the heat Virginia. But.. I would prefer to escape to the sea to coll of a bit. Have a great weekend. Costas
love the shot! hate the current weather! as much as i know we need rain, I just wish we could have either one afternoon without rain or a rain that actually cools the afternoon.
My goodness...it's sweltering down here too. When I first moved to Florida 13-years ago, I used to laugh at people who complained about the heat. I thought, 'Uh...of course it's hot. It's July in Florida!' But, now, I know that 2 or 3 degrees, and no breeze, can make a huge difference. Here's hoping that a cold front blows through Birmingham soon!
Misty, the Pepper Place must be the hotttest place in B'ham. Maybe we will run into each other there some Sat. I missed it today, had a photo shoot at 10.
Costas, well it helps to have "moving air" down here but you're right, the sea is much preferred to cool off. Here we are a good 4-5 hours for the Gulf!
SRQ, I lived in Ft. Lauderdale for 3 years. It's not is hot there but I don't it's as humid as here. What do you think?
Luis, I"m flattered. Thank you.
BC, Long ago they advertised funeral homes, today you can get fancier ones it seems.
Christy, here in Forest Park in June, we never got rain when all the other areas of B'ham did. Now....well I"m with you, enough already! IT's steamy after these short rains.
A useful appliance and a good name. I'm sure it's worse down there than here, and it's bad here. I would avoid the blasted surface of the planet if it were not for the endless need for blog material.

that's quite an elaborate one.
I need a funeral home fan to battle the heat at Pepper Place this morning!
You have no idea how wonderful I think this shot is! Excellent! Try to stay in.
Chic .. but to me it seems all that waving would make one hotter than just settin' still .. sippin' some iced tea or water ...
"Funeral home fan" a first for me ;-))

HA, I love it. Sorry about the heat though. It's quite cool here today!
Never heard of that before! A fan can make a huge difference though.

Neat fan for the dead heat time. I call it a dead heat when there's not much movin'.
Now I have Cole Porter on my mind! :-) Great portrait. Love this new header!
