Looking For a Handout

Last weekend we stopped by photographer Liz Young's booth at Artwalk. Liz specializes in doggy portraits. What could be more fun!  I thought this photographed looked so convincing by the big bowl of dog treats!  I've also featured Liz's work here at Magic City Art Connection.

Ahhhhh, that photo looks so real I'd slip a doggie treat out of the bowl to him!

Oh, that's cute. Such longing. Liz should meet Jilly. She takes a picture of almost every pooch she meets for her Rivera Dogs blog.

I'd give HIM the whole bowl. Cutie.

This is why mastiffs are chronically overweight. Who can resist that face.

Love that face AND look at the variety of sizes of dog bones. There one for everyone. Great shot!

His face reminded me instantly of Boz...Petrea's boxer!!! Leave it to Hiker to set me straight that he's a handsome, soulfull Mastiff...probably a soulmate of Boz's!!!

I didn't realise until I read the words and looked carefully that it is a photograph of a dog portrait -then I could see it couldn't be a real dog with the sharp focus on eyes, nose and also the foreground. Super soulful portrait of a lovely old dog. This works so well with the dog treats. Clever you.

I can just imagine what is going on in his head, "put the camera down and give me a treat!"
