Waiting for friends for lunch, I decided to snap the moose head that hangs over the bar at
Billy's Bar and Grill in English Village has been in business since 1979 and can still draw a crowd. They are known for their grilled chicken sandwich but there's plenty on the menu to choose from.

I prefer them more in the wild living.
I would expect to see this in Maine or Alaska, not Alabama. I heard a commentator on TV say that the number of people who vote in the Maine Republican Presidential caucuses is 5 times fewer than the number of moose in Maine.
Looks like a place I'd enjoy! The moose, though, seems a bit out-of-place...I mean, really, wouldn't it look better in a Minnesota bar - Minnesota being the land of Mooses! ;-)

The lodge that TheChief and I and the family go to every year in Mineral King in the Western Sierras, has Harvey hanging on the front porch...probably a cousin to this moose!
