Play It Again Sam

As our faithful band of curious photographers combed the historic 99 year old Lyric Theatre last Sunday, we moved to the adjoining office building and started exploring. On some of the top floors, where I'd never been before, we found the pipes and parts of an organ and also these xylophones.  Who knows if they will ever be used again but what a great find!

Ha the attractiveness of pretty decay, but who for heavens sake abandon his or her music instrument. Nice with the subdued colors and degraded skins. Thanks for showing.

When in the vicinity of marching bands, the striking xylophones always caught my attention. Back a ways, that sound made wicked excited... the band was coming.

Every once in awhile they get used in a symphony concert. Good shot!

Way cool. I'd have given them a whack with anything handy.

Does anyone actually know what xylo means?
