I recently visited this STAIR (Start The Adventure In Reading) site at South Hampton Elementary School in Pratt City to take photos. This volunteer tutor had these two second graders deep in a discussion about a book they were reading together.
The staff told us that once report cards came out in the fall and the parents and teachers saw such great results that there is now a waiting list to get into this after school program!
