A few years ago, my dear friend Cathy Adams signed me up to photograph her gorgeous gardens every month of the year. It opened my eyes as a photographer. I went from gushing over spring and summer flowers to appreciating plants and flowers as they die and the months before they burst forth. Today I visited a friend's garden to capture images for a book for them. As I stepped out of my car, this one bloom on their magnolia tree caught my eye. LOVED the stamens resting in the petals. I have lived in the south all my life and don't believe I have ever noticed this before.
