Do you have about 1 1/2 hours, one day a week, to give to a second grader who needs extra help in reading after school? Visit the STAIR website and volunteer! It's a terrific program that makes such a difference. No experience necessary, just a willingness to help.

Amen! It is amazing to me how often we overlook the power of the simple things. Something as simple as reading to a child, putting a book in their hands . . . can make a lifetime of difference . . . not only for the child but for the entire community. Love that you stopped to notice!
