Hot Box, a semi-permanent food truck is parked now behind Parkside Bar in Avondale. Love that it's in an old Airstream. BTW, it was closed the afternoon we stopped by so I'll have to report on their food offerings another day.

Light and Shadows

Met a friend at Avondale's Parkside yesterday. I'd been many years ago and was thrilled to see the old doors  and iron work still leaning against the fence.

the new year.  I've had a fabulous year and each and everyone of you, my dear readers have made it a great year of blogging.  Today a festive shot of a nice little neighborhood bar near my home, Parkside Cafe.  I love their lanterns.  A very festive place to celebrate the new year!

Birmingham Rouge - Red Gate

Parkside has changed its image.  It started out as a wonderful  art/accessories/antique shop.  Now it is a charming neighborhood bar in the Avondale neighborhood.  Out back I found this nice red gate.
