May Peace Prevail on Earth

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church. It took the lives of 4 innocent little girls that day.  There will be a dedication of a sculpture in their memory today across the street from the church in Kelly Ingram Park.  I think this peace pole at the church says it all.

Sunday Church Series - Let There Be Peace

I was down at Kelly Ingram Park recently and had a chance to photograph the 16th Street Baptist Church.  This church has seen its share of tragedy. This peace pole adjacent to the church speaks volumes.
