Sunday Church Series - Reflections

After weeks of rain, last Sunday was bright and sunny. As I sat in church, I looked up and was startled at the gorgeous play of color and light reflected on the balcony wall from the stained glass window. I made a mental note of the time and went back last Wednesday to try and capture it.

Rainbows

This past week, I had to privilege to photograph at the Sixth Avenue Baptist Church. I'd been once before and was looking forward to the afternoon light streaming in through the bank of windows at the front of the church. These contemporary windows casting shadows on the slatted ceiling of the narthex took my breath.

Today, I share this post with James' Weekend Reflections right HERE!

Sunday Church Series - Reflections

This is my church, Independent Presbyterian Church in Birmingham. I was lucky enough to be here late in the afternoon to help with a beautiful wedding. The afternoon sun coming through our amazing stained glass windows caught my eye.

Today I'm joining James' Weekend Reflections right HERE. Go and see the other great shots by my blog friends!

Walking through the Great Hall at Independent Presbyterian Church last week, This reflection on the highly polished floor stopped me in my tracks.

Today I think I'll join James' Weekend Reflections group!
