Peek-a-boo!

Meet my little friend Lilly. I taught with her Mommy and loved her before she was ever born! I must say she was one of the most delightful subjects I have had the privilege of photographing. She laughed and clapped and mugged for the camera like a professional model! Right now Lilly lives in a world of silence, but soon she will have surgery that will allow her to hear the sound of birds singing and her Mommy and Daddy's sweet voices. For now, she wears this cute pink cap to keep those pudgy little fingers from pulling out the teeny tiny hearing aids she wears. Lilly, you are perfect in every way!

The Tune de Jour is "Lullaby" by Michael Dulin. If I asked Lilly's parents for a request, I know it would be "War Eagle" and you can find that on the sidebar.

Discover Michael Dulin!

Lovely post, Virginia and Lily is an absolute angel. I hope her operation goes well..

I see you've changed your header photo. That mural is really special.

Lily is lovely and I hope she will soon be able to listen to Michael's lullaby.
And your photos of this lovely child are stunning, Virginia!
Have a nice weekend.

What a beautiful little girl Lily is. I have a friend whose grandson had (I think) the same surgery - very successfully. I think she would love it if Michael's Lullaby were the first music she heard. Love your new header as much as I was enjoying the BEAUTIFUL pumpkins - wishing I had them here for my Halloween and Thanksgiving displays. Fun too to have a "new view" of our friend Virginia!

What a cute and adorable baby girl she is ... I pray that her operation goes well.

I missed your nut post. It's a lovely photo and story. The story somewhat reminds me of my time in the US ... The squirels stockpiling nuts for their winter food was somewhat annoying, but they are such cute animals.

I used to buy a lot of nuts when they were in season like now. Yummy! (They are too expensive here, unfortunately, as they are imported.).

BTW, I like your new header photo. Very artsy!

What a lovely baby! How old is she? I know how it could be difficult to take care of a deaf child and it's a very good thing she can have surgery. I'm sure she is going to become a chatterbox (hope this word is correct?).

No more difficulties with Deezer and I've just booked my TGV and a hotel (Thursday 20th November)!

Virginia said...

Alice, that's wonderful news. TGV is the train???Je ne sais pas! Be thinking about where you'd like for us to go.

Thank you all for your kind wishes for Lily. I told Michael that he would definitely be second fiddle to Lily today, but certainly his music is the perfect background music for her!

Lisa, I can hear you sniffling!

How precious is that? I'm dying to do some portraiture but haven't found a willing model yet. :-)

What a beautiful little girl!

Robert, Lily gets ALL the credit. All I did was push the button.

Louis , I will give her the message. It's not everyday that you get best wishes from a cow , and a French one at that!

Aw, what a little beauty!
Love all the changes around here and your new profile pic is beautiful!

Lily is a little angel. Outstanding portraits. I feel you have a real affinity for this kind of image. Messages from talking cows? Be a veggie and don't eat me in La vache's case. I still don't know how the cow manages to take images at all with hooves? Hi to Lily, bonny in her bonnet.

Charming photo of Lily Peekaboo. but I adore the black and white version. Something about her expression there that hits home with me.
