Airheads

Still rummaging through my archives for something new and different, I came across this photo last night.  It was taken in the colorful costume department at the Birmingham's Children's Theatre a few months ago.   As is sometimes the case with photographers, the ones that appealed to me at the time didn't seem blog worthy in the light of day. This one in color, was "ho-hum". But wait..... how about  a little fiddling with the color boost a little, the contrast, temperature/tint and .....voilà an entirely different photo with a whole lot of pizzaz. Behold the power of post processing! It's fun stepping out of my "box" once in a while!

* At Bergson's suggesetion I am posting the "before" photo at the bottom.

"Mannequin derrière la vitrine,
Attends tout seul ce soir.
Mannequin derrière la vitrine,
Silencieux dans le noir.
Mannequin derrière la vitrine,
Juste un corps sans mémoire.
Mannequin derrière la vitrine,
Tu passes sans même me voir." Daniel Darc

"Mannequin behind the window,
Wait just this evening.
Mannequin behind the window,
Silent in the dark.
Mannequin behind the window,
Just a body without memory.
Mannequin behind the window,
you spend without me."

J’aime bien l’arrangement de ces mannequins. C’est comme s’ils attendent quelque chose ou quelqu’un.

Photography for DUmmies. That's a good one BIBI!

Halcyon, They do look like they are waiting for something. Maybe a new costume!

Olivier, you are our poet today. Merci!

W., I'm not falling for that one.

Dummies lose head in photography shoot out. I blame those masks- that are like creepy clowns. I can't work through it. I don't like dolls either. I like the Pink Ladies, dumbasses even. Johnnny Depp has been here you know. I am checking into the sin bin right now.

Oh Bergson what a good idea. I'll do that now.

B,
What can I say about the masks, clowns, dolls etc. And I loved Johnny Depp in Chocolat of course! Just have a stiff drink and then when you open my blog just scroll down quilckly!

J'aime bien lorsque l'auteur nous montre les transformations

Some of these might benefit from Exquisite Form, if you know what I mean.

Very creative work! It's got kind of a science fiction android property. Let's hope they don't start multiplying.

That's amazing. It makes a colorwise not so interesting picture come alive. Well done!

I like this post processing. The colors are in my pallette and honestly, I would hang that photo on my wall, right near all my knitting and craft things.
